Thesis: Investigation of Nanosecond Pulsed Plasmas for Drilling Applications
Research Interests: Pulsed power systems, underwater plasma discharges, optical emission spectroscopy, plasma-assisted drilling, PFAS destruction
Bio: Dr. Akhter’s research focuses on high-voltage pulsed plasma discharges in liquids and their applications in energy and environmental technologies. His work includes development of plasma diagnostic tools and techniques for subsurface rock fracturing and contaminant destruction.
